showing now - decker

I put my Super 8 film of "Decker" on Youtube. There is no soundtrack in this version.
The original soundtrack sits on a large tape recorded reel. I do not know how to put it on the film. So, this version is a silent movie. It is 19 minutes long. Enjoy it and add you comments ~~ below to the post.

  1. Wow, whatta trip! Thanks so much for doing that - I'm not sure if sound was even necessary - it may have even been distracting.

Watching that slice of that part of my life, from Dad's hair and weight to the shops at Gateway that only exist in my dim dreams anymore (J. Bragg's! Barberio Cheese House! That black/white candy store!) gave me a strange energy that only nostalgia can give. And seeing the streets of Seward in their vibrant 70's iteration was really nice - I could feel the heat of that day so long ago. The yellow enamel J.C. Penney sign, the green tile front of 'Dominick's', Gamble's - even the Neuman Organ Company...

Loved Duensing's hair. Loved seeing virtually every male professor at CTC at the time, including Zill!

Can you tell I liked seeing it?

    Keep in touch, Karl!

    Best of everything,
